Materials advertising housing rentals can be taken to the University Center as long as they meet UC posting guidelines.
Due to the infrequency that residents check their mailboxes, we no longer stuff mailboxes with flyers due to the waste it creates.
Under no circumstances will any groups be allowed to go door to door on campus for any advertising or soliciting purpose, outside of staff members from the Office of Residence Life and Housing. This includes placing flyers on or under doors, writing on white boards, or knocking on doors.
We also do not allow door hanger advertisements unless approved by Residence Life and Housing staff.
All banners hung on any bridge in the Summit Village Residence Halls must be approved and hung by housing staff.
All outdoor flyers, yard signs and sidewalk chalk must be from groups described in the residential Areas policy. The group must remove their items within 24 hours after the conclusion of the event. Failure to do so may result in a fee being assessed to the group for the removal of these items. Under no circumstances may flyers be taped to windows or entry doors in residential areas.
When posting materials: do not use clear packing tape or duct tape as they can cause damage. Failure to comply with these guidelines could result in the group or organization being charged for damages.
All advertising in dining halls and other dining locations should be approved by Dining and Hospitality staff.
Please reach out to the Residential Dining Manager for approval.
Residence Life and Housing does not endorse specific candidates.
Candidates can provide flyers to be posted by Residence Life and Housing staff. No other forms of advertisement by candidates are permitted.
