Resident Assistants

Resident Assistants (RAs) work with students, faculty, and staff to promote a socially, culturally, and educationally enriching residential community. In this role, RAs develop life skills to become healthier, mindful, and authentic individuals within their campus experience and beyond. RAs promote:

  • Belonging
  • Community Development

Front Desk Assistants

Front Desk Assistants (FDAs) are responsible for the operation of the village front desks - they are the face of Residence Life and Housing. FDAs help visitors find their way around campus, organize resident mail, and connect residents to campus resources. This is a great position to develop customer service and organizations skills. Stop by the Monarch or La Plata front desks to say hi! 

FDA openings are posted each semester on SEAN.
Academic Learning Assistants

Academic Learning Assistants (ALAs) provide academic support to students living on campus. ALAs assist students in a wide variety of academic subjects, as well as help students to be successful in their courses with tools like study tips, time management, test strategies, and other academic support resources. ALAs also help facilitate ongoing academic seminars in collaboration with First year Experience and UCCS Learning (excel) Centers.
